I'm in the Respiratory Care Department, and after my first year I have to say I'm very pleased with my experience, but I went in with low standards. Being a part of the Rocket Marching Band has certainly helped me become more involved in the University as a whole. Not a lot of people plan to come to Toledo, it seems to be a plan B type school, and some kids come here with a terrible attitude, and it takes a while for them to lighten up (some never do), but there are minimal downsides to this school. The professors are very friendly, the city itself needs a lot of work, but I feel very safe at and around the University, and have had no bad experiences with the locals and law enforcement. Campus is beautiful, the food is much better compared to other Ohio schools, on-campus living is fantastic but you get what you pay for, the REC is fantastic for working out, the classes are challenging but aren't unfair. You will get the grades you deserve to get, and classes won't stop you from socializing with people. It's not as bad as people think it is as long as you give it a chance.
