Coming to Tampa, I was beyond thrilled and excited to start all over. Tampa was everything I wanted, the weather, atmosphere, night life, etc. As I settled in, I realized that I had it all wrong. Tampa is a beautiful school and everything but thats basically it, the way I like to describe it is, it's fake. First off all it gives you the impression that everyone is friendly and easy going. Also you tend to believe, or at least I did that there is a lot of school spirit. Wrong. I understand that not everyone is trying to be friendly but these people are down right wrong here. I have never came across so many people who are so inconsiderate and rude. Also there is little to none school spirit, nobody supports anything. Moving on from that I have realized that this isn't the place for me in other ways too. The local newspaper just published an article saying 7 out 11 students transfer after the first semester, if that isn't eye opening I don't know what is. Tampa seems all great and fun and then you get here and realize that it is not like that at all. It may fit some people but for me it has all been spiraling down hill. It is a real shame that this school isn't what its all cracked up to be.

Negatives:

people are rude, just a bunch of kids with mommy or daddy's money

classes are very easy, and do not assist you when it comes to deciding a major or field of interest

nothing to do other then spend money

night life is mainly clubs which are fun but get old after a while

need a car

not only are the kids mean but also dumb

experience with sports was not fulfilling, not very serious except maybe baseball and lax

no school spirit

barely any upper classmen

one of the highest transfer rates

fails to meet expectations
