I was initially attracted to the arts program here and made the mistake of coming to this school. After switching from arts to engineering it became clear this school simply would not cut it. To be frank, the schools extremely lax admissions policy provides those who are not intellectually inclined an opportunity at higher education. The school caters to these individuals, resulting in coursework that is simple beyond belief, and despite my advanced standing, the upper level courses I'm enrolled in are quite laughable. In addition, the students here disregard many essential facets of a competent person, namely health, as you will see many overweight students who choose to overindulge in unhealthy food rather than go the gym, as well as academics, as students will disregard homework despite it's extreme simplicity. Furthermore, the students are quite trashy and seem not to care about maintaing an acceptable appearance. Students spit as they walk, african american males as well as caucasian males refer to others with racial slurs, and many students have a preoccupation with sex and partying. In conclusion, I would not wish this school upon my worst enemy. You don't even need a high score on the sat or a perfect gpa to attend far better schools such as UT or A&M, so quite naturally there is no logical reason anyone who values academics, health, and respectably should attend this school.
