CofC is fantastic. At first i didn't even think about going here but im glad i did. I have met some of the best people at the college and not to mention a lot of very intelligent people as well. The city is beautiful as is the campus. The people here are pretty much friendly from what i have experienced and the girls are gorgeous. In fact, i believe Charleston was named the city with the most beautiful people in it this year. The professors here are amazing for the most part. I am a spanish and business major and so far i am content with just about all of my teachers.

Now for the social life. If you have any bit of friendliness and sense of fun then you will LOVE it here. As everyone has stated, there are bars, clubs, house parties etc. My first two weeks at the college were probably some of the best couple of weeks ive ever had. It was exciting to meet so many new people and i was trashed just about every single day. I would advise anyone with an alcohol problem or those who have been overly sheltered to think about what they're are getting into. One of my friends never had a drop of alcohol in HS (mom was a cop), was religious, and just typical southern kid. He no longer attends this school due to his low grades. He partied everyday freshman year and he payed the consequences so just make sure you have self control before you come here. Also, i will say that there are a shit ton of northerners here. I have probably met just as much if not more northern people at the college as southern people and in the rare instance that someone is a douche or something, they are usually from the north which is what baffles me about the reviews prior to this one claiming the southerners are snooty. also greek life here is NOT a big deal. if you want to become a frat star, have at it. if you want to be a GDI, have at it as well. You're not really missing out on anything if you dont join a fraternity. there are a lot more GDI's and as previous girls have mentioned, fraternitys dont let guys in there parties so the girls usually get sick of the same stuff rather quickly. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is not just looking to get their money's worth academically but also in terms of getting the amazing college experience you will never forget.
