Have you talked to any of the local schools about working with kids part-time as a teaching assistant while you study? Sometimes, it's not what you know it's who you know. |
Check out this site: This is the kind of site that struggling College students can but like (and bookmark). On ww w.ace you rco ll egec lass es.c o m, they will be able to post all the questions that are keeping them from these grades they should get this semester, and (for a fair price) receive all the help they need. This will come in the shape of handy tutorials, and the students will be able to preview them before buying anything, so that the quality (and usefulness) of what they are buying can always be ascertained in advance. These tutorials are actually provided by other students who volunteer their time and effort to help people who can use some assistance. But it is not as if they were getting nothing tangible in return for what they are doing - they are actually being paid for their efforts. This turns the site into a more than valid alternative for all these students who are looking for a way to supplement the otherwise meagre income they get from their daily jobs. |
Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
I am finishing up my Associates Degree in Education and I am worried about persuing my Bachelors. I have already racked up 20 grand in loans and would like to finish at U of P, but am becoming very concerned with their reputation. I live in Georgia and have a friend who just graduated so I am waiting to see if he gets a teaching job. I am worried that my degree won't be respected and that I won't get my student teaching credits. My experience has been pretty good. You have to be self-motivated and some of your fellow classmates will not challenge you, sometimes you will be smarter than the professor, but for the most part I have found the experience rewarding. I wish the University of Phoenix had a better reputation. I work full-time and have two kids and attending an on ground university was practically impossible, I am doing research and hoping I will be able to finish my degree here.
