I probably am not qualified to speak too much about the school since I have only been here for 2 months. I can, however, tell you that my experience thus far has been incredible. The facilities are gorgeous and all my professors have been extremely approachable and helpful. I have gone to visit my friends at other schools, and so far none of them have even compared to Elon.

The social scene consists of frat parties or a few bars in the area, which are 18+ to go and dance and 21+ to drink. There are tons of frat houses and there is always something going on. However, if you don't like to drink there are plenty of other options. There are always events like movies on the football field with free popcorn, or speakers to go and watch. My suitemate is heavily involved in mock trial, and she has a great time with that.

The academics are what I had expected. I came from a very rigorous high school, so the academics here are about the same. It really varies on which classes you take. My roommate is swamped with work a lot of the time, whereas I personally don't get that much homework. Either way, both of us feel challenged but not more than we can handle.

The actual campus is gorgeous and I love walking to class everyday. We have so many dining options, I never feel like I have to eat something I don't want.

I have already met so many friends here and I can't wait to meet more. Everyone that I have met so far has been very approachable and nice to me. I was worried before I came here that everyone would be wearing pearls and dresses to class, but it's not like that at all. There are always a handful of people who look really nice all the time, but it's also acceptable to wear jeans and a sweatshirt everyday (I would know).

Overall, I love it here and I bet that most of you will too! We are lacking in diversity, and some people have referred to it as a "country club", but nevertheless I am loving my time here so far and hope it continues.

commentELON IS A BRIDGE TO NOWHERE
responseEven if its only 2 months of experience, think its valuable to get a perspective of a new student from a college I'm looking to go to.
Plus for only 2 months it seems like you have alot to talk about, which gets me even more interested to see what this school has to offer
commentIgnore these loser talking about "bridges to nowhere" or "wasting Parent's money," they are just trolls who probably never went to ELon or are from another institute,
