I have been thoroughly disappointed in my experience here. I will not complain about the size of the school or its rural location, because those are things that people have different opinions on. However, I will say that the social life here has gotten much worse in recent year. Crime is on the rise, with this year seeing more burglaries and assaults than ever before. The tours are misleading, as there is very little to do on campus and most everyone I know is constantly bored, which leads to drinking and drug use.Some people do like it here, but most don't. Elon is getting to be much worse than it used to, and it is not how I expected it to be. I advise you to try for another school…if you like NC, go for places with better academics, such as Wake Forest or UNC-Chapel Hill.
