Tampa is not for everybody. I think thats the nice way to put it, if you are a guido or were popular in HS and would like to keep being the bikini b**** then good for you. You should come here. If you are like a normal individual with no quirks or anything you won't fit in. You should probably be comfortable with yourself and being around people too, lots of strippers and people who work with clubs and stuff are students. Tampa in itself is trashy but I love how the city is actually proud of it I find it funny and intersting. You will make great friends here and truthfully if you have the money to spend and dont really care too much about school go here. Its not a bad thing, just diffrent. If you are gay, stay away, not gay friendly. The problem with the friends you make is everyone is from somewhere else (like most of Florida) and typically nobody stays too long expect to attend school with an entirly new friend group nearly every semester. If you want a year long spring break and you can afford it, do it, if not, look somewhere else in FL like USF or something.

I'm in between Ut and USF and i noticed u adviced usf as an alternative. Is it a better school in terms of academics? When i met UT representatives they seemed to be dependable and if they refect the school then it can't be half bad but so far all i've heard has been snotty stupid rich kids go there. I will be on an Air Force scholarship and competing for a nursing position so academics will be vital.
