THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING ATTENDING BOSTON COLEGE:

Ask yourself this ==> if Boston College were not in Boston (which it's technically not, it's in Newton)… would you still be interested?

The only reason I came to BC was because of its location, and because its a big sports school. Big mistake on my part. I feel like I'm not valued as a student here—there are way too many professors who don't care about anything but their own research, publications, and work. Students here are disappointing—while they're generally really intelligent, they don't work very hard and there's an overall snob factor that is way too high.

I can't transfer out, because I'm on a full scholarship here… but I wish I could. Classes are HUGE, I'm pretty sure half of my professors would never even know I was in their class if I passed them on campus. And speaking of the campus… "Boston" College—it's a trainride to actually get into Boston, and the T has become increasingly more unreliable (at least the Green line, which BC students must take.)

So ask yourself this—if Boston College were, let's say, in Western Mass… would you still want to attend? For most students, that's a no—there's no "stellar" academic reputation (outside of the fact that smart kids come here) and unless you love JCrew, Ugg Boots and girls wearing pearls… if might not be your scene.
