Social life is horrible. BC has the most superficial, trashy, and hypocritical student body I've ever seen. Life revolves around binge drinking (Wednesdays-Saturdays). Homogeneous, cliquey, and close-minded students. Many do not take studies very seriously and are at school to party. It is difficult to make friends if you're not an alcoholic. Students do not take advantage of the wonderful city of Boston - having fun for them is sitting in a cramped dorm room getting drunk to the point of blacking out. Sexual assault is a prevalent issue and correlates to the drinking problem.

There is a poor selection of extracurriculars for those not interested in sports or Christianity. There are many service opportunities (going along with BC's motto of

Men and Women for Others
) but this is where students are hypocrites - their hearts are not in it.

I have had few outstanding or even notable professors. Many have an attitude or are horrible at explaining concepts. There are tons of core requirements and very inflexible - the choice of classes to fulfill them is very small and pretty boring. It is nearly impossible to take electives because the core and courses for your major consume most of your 4 years. And the majority of the things you will learn will not help you in the real world.

If I knew of a school that was more enjoyable than BC in the above mentioned areas I would transfer in a heartbeat.
