Times change. Lots more to do in and around campus these days. It helps if you are willing to try new things. Thank goodness it's not 2006 any more! |
Elon is a nowhere preppy want to be college my only memories are of regret and puke. clown college and diploma mill. greek life is exclusive. zta girls blow as much as elon does. waste your parents money on a different sleep away high school. given the opportunity to transfer i would have. the place flat out sucks. |
DID YOU EVER FIND EMPLOYMENT? |
A degree from this clown college is more of a burden than anything else. what a joke. |
Complete disappointment |
Major: Journalism (This Major's Salary over time)
Please be absolutely certain that you like small schools with absolutely nothing to do besides drink or watch movies every single night in your dorm room. On one hand, the easy classes and lack of any school social scene whatsoever made it easy to breeze through academically. On the other hand, it also made for a hellish first year. Many people love it—but for that you have to have a small-town mentality. If you are one of those "nothing special" students and can handle going to a school that talks big but is actually a joke academically and socially compared to scores of other colleges, then Elon is the place for you. I can name 10 people who have either transferred out in the middle of freshman year or are desperately working on applications out for next year. The teachers are very involved, and the classes are very much like high school. If you took any AP classes in high school you will most likely be bored with the slow pace of the classes. I found all of the professors to be very helpful, and if you want one-on-one attention you will definitely get it at Elon. Just be sure that is what you really want…for me, the perks of being at a small school are overrated when it comes to the big picture.
