what everyone said about UT so far is somewhat true, although fairly exaggerated. yes, most of the students here are rich and snooty, but i have definitely found a very down-to-earth group of friends. greek life is pretty much a joke, but at the same time, a lot of the campus activities (or all of them) involve sororities or fraternities. professors are awesome, i have no complaints there. students do seem a little "uninspired" or unmotivated but it's nothing out of the ordinary (i mean, it's not like this is harvard). my biggest complain is school spirit - we have absolutely none. and the guy to girl ratio does sort of suck - there aren't any relationship worthy people here. i know a lot of this sounds negative, but i think no matter what university you go to, you are going to run into similar problems/issues. UT is a good school, this is my first year and i have had a lot of fun. you just need to find your nitch.
