Vanderbilt is a great school and Nashville is a great city. In North or South, it offers one of the best balances between academics and social freedom. It is like Duke, Tulane and Northwestern all rolled into one. There are some individuals here that I find less than likable, but that is true of anywhere. The school is large enough to that everyone may find there niche, but small enough so that the campus till feels unified and comfortably friendly. I am from the north, and I enjoy the southerns more than most of the northerners, so come on down. The women are not bad looking either; prepare to raise your standards.
