Fabulous liberal arts school in the traditional sense. Students are still expected to take languages, social sciences, math etc, all as part of a core curriculum. All professors teach classes that are for the most part under 20 kids - no 'TA's'! This is sorely lacking at so many universities today that have turned themselves into high priced technical schools. The people here are the friendliest and most courteous I've ever met! Gorgeous weather and incredible historical surroundings make Charleston a top tourist destination, yet it also has a small town feel to it without being plopped in a corn field somewhere. Always something going on…Tremendous sophistication with that lovely, languid, southern approach.
