Major: Criminal (This Major's Salary over time)
Good: The University of Tampa is in a great location-right near downtown Tampa. You can walk to the movies, food places, etc. Ybor city is also very close-which is Tampa's entertainment district (thurs, fri, sat nights are best). The campus is well taken care off with many trees and flowers. The staff is friendly and the students are helpful. UT has over 5,000 students now (2004 fall) and it is nice. The Criminology program is awesome at UT. We have good classes to chose from and many opportunities. Good internships available in this city too (for criminology majors-Tampa Police Dep. Ex.) The dorms at UT are probably some of the best any college has to offer. Most are new and very large.Bad-Although I consider the location good, there is some crime concerns to worry about. I recently had my car broken into on campus along with ten other cars next to mine. Two semesters ago-the Tampa PD came onto campus because a dead body floated onto our campus. We do have many armed security officers on our campus though.
