Major: Political Science (This Major's Salary over time)
Columbia is a great place to go to college - from being in the city to being with the greatest minds in so many fields. I'm a poli sci-econ major, so I could be biased, since those two departments are arguably our best. I was surprised about how many top names I was able to get in my first year, and how accessible they were. As far as the core, I love it. Sure, it is challenging as hell - its a lot of hard work - but you WILL be a well rounded student from it. And cores classes can be priceless - just make sure you don't get a bad professor for one (if you do, switch!). The campus is small and Morningside Heights is a very friendly and surprisingly safe area (from what I expected). Overall, just a great experience…
