-Use the LEARNING LAB use it use it use it! People will tutor you for free. Use it often for your classes and you'll pull A's.
-The science classes (A&P, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology)- have been known to be much more difficult than 4 year universities. You will learn a lot.
-Some online classes are worth taking. Mild effort+lots of learning of an interesting subject= fun online class. Do your research though, as online classes can be a hit or miss at montco.
-Security does not respond promptly to emergencies. They are friendly, however.
-Thievery is a problem here.
-Many MCCC students are just old high school kids who were forced to go to college. Prepare your patience to be tested.
-Parking is free and usually plentiful, but you may need to park in Spain and walk to class.
-Financial Aid gives people many problems. For example, they may tell AES you're not taking classes when you really are- and your loans will not show up. Be prepared to endure their incompetence.
-Some advisers are condescending, some are great. Meet with more than one.
-Are you an early bird? Well, then you can show up at 5am to register for classes the first day they're available. Doing so will ensure you get the classes you want.
-The people who work in the business office are very rude, sometimes.
-There is no smoking on campus. Everybody ignores this.
-When you transfer to a 4 year university, your credits transfer, not your grades. Usually. Get a C or better, it doesn't matter. You'll start fresh at your new school.
-This is a community college. Mentally/emotionally disturbed people are everywhere. Don't take their actions or words personally.
-A physical education course is required to earn an associates. They aren't usually that hard.
-Most faculty is very warm and personable. Make friends with them.

Quite Bright
Guess where I graduated my four year degree from? Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Cum Laude. They accepted most of my credits from MONTCO. I now have my own investment firm and I always tell my clients about my wonderful and very cost effective experience at MONTCO. I was not ready for a "go away" college and MONTCO was perfect for me. Also, the cost is great, as I paid my own way through both MONTCO and Penn. You can do it too!
