Not so bright
Coming from H.S., I thought this school was going to be a good fit because of their many programs. It was not a good fit for me. The needed classes were hardly ever offered, with me having to go to another comm. college to get the units I needed. I was not too thrilled with the most of the academics around here with some professors putting me down because I have ADHD and to be put down because of my disability is a nightmare. Most of the students were pretty rude and snotty, especially the girls who go around and spread rumors about me and other students. Dealing with some of these students is like dealing with the juvenile hall system. Not a good fit for a person like me, so I transferred with way better results.

The financial aid dept. was very unprofessional-you are not treated as a person there. However, I had some great instructors who were willing to take the time to show me where I went wrong on assignments while a few I had were plain rude. There were more activities to do in the city-fairgrounds, beach, etc.

For your own financial wellbeing do not use the bookstore or library for books. I ordered a $160 book and this is now the beginning of the third week since I've ordered; I've already taken two exams in the class where the book is needed. Just buy books off of Amazon. Cheaper and you don't have to deal with bullshit. The library is unforgiving with late fines. A $16 fine for a late book is $15.95 too expesive. If a book is late at the Central Library they don't really give a shit. They just want their book back. Overall, fuck OCC.
