Long Beach City College is very unhelpful. I have had the most problems with the financial aid department. Most of the people there do not know what they are doing, as they had messed up my financial aid application.

The school overcharges on little things to get more money out of you. They do not tell you about minor things that have a big impact on your financial aid. (almost to the point of not having it at all.) They drop your classes for absolutely no reason, or for owing something they charged you for THREE times. This college is ridiculous and the faculty isn't helpful at all.

This College almost lost its credentials, it had to step up to convince the board that they are worthy to be called a College. The staff are by far the most unprofessional with the teachers right behind them. Most of the teachers there are part time and could care less about their second job. We all had two jobs one that pays more than the other, and how much effort did we put into our secondary job? I had numerous teachers just leave, we pretty much had the whole class cancelled because one of the professors did not show up. I would not recommend this College at all, only reason I am attending is because its right down the street from where I live. Other than that I herd better things about Golden West.

This school was an evil necessity for me in order to move on. I used it for what it was for, that is, as a tool to pay for lower division classes. I had to work and attend college, I looked at all the options as how to not go into debt and still get receive my education, even if it was going to take longer. The only thing I received was experience and a greater appreciation for success along the way.
