Elac is a good stepping stone for those who try. If you apply yourself, try to get involved in campus and really take the time to talk to the faculty, you'll find that there are really wonderful opportunities and advice to be taken. I can only speak for the Art and Graphic Design departments, both of which are located in the nicest, newest facilities (esp. Fine Arts). The new Vincent Price Art Museum is amazing and definitely makes me proud of ELAC. For graphic design, although the faculty is good, there aren't enough labs and because of the lack of funding, the software is not up-to-date. If your major is Fine Arts, I definitely recommend ELAC. If it's Graphic Design I recommend it although I bet there's better jr colleges like SMCC.
Collaboration/Competitive: A, Individual Value: C+

The classes are either too hard or so easy you don't even learn anything. I rarely had a teacher that has a good balance. Some teachers here are like businessmen, they try to get you to spend extra money on books you never really need. Some of teachers I had here are really self absorb and bias in their opinions. Be vary of the head guy of the art department, he's a psycho and knows how to talk very well. Been in several of his classes.
