I'd first like to say I graduated with a BS in CET, I'm at a very well paid job now and very happy I'm working for one of the biggest corporations in the world. BUT, that being said...

1) The finance department will screw you over. This is a fact. Talk to any of the students on campus and they'll tell you... "I always seem to have to have a bill for something!"

2) You will be in debt. I mean... $7k a semester for full time is not cheap!
3) Some of the teaching is really a joke. All my teachers would literally stop lecturing if their phone rings. Every. Single. One. I've seen it at least once in every class.

4) You can easily BS your way through the online portion. Plus their mandatory postings on the online board even if the class is on site is useless at best.

5) Good luck finding a job in this economic environment especially if you're a graduate from Devry. I had to suck it up for my first 2-3 jobs. The really only good thing about Devry (this only pertains to the Engineering Department tho...) is some of the professors will bend over backwards to help you! You have to open up and ask questions. There are a few that are extremely intelligent and I cannot rave enough about them.

DeVry is a very hands-on college which helps a lot for students who actually need to get into things to understand it. They provide you with many facuets of learning and teachers really want to make themselves accessible to you even if that means giving you their home number/cell number. They want to make sure you know things about the course. The deans care about you, too, which is a plus. DeVry limits their student population to be no greater then a little over 3,000 students, so the small environment makes you feel homey with other students. But like an situation you have to find the right people. If you don't get the right professor you might get stuck with someone who has a very heavy accent and probably skips steps in problems because they have to assume you know things. Overall, DeVry University Fremont, is a great place!
