I just finished my first semester in college. I am so proud of myself. I have a lot of postive expereinces in this school than the negatives.

PRO'S:
Going to a community college saves a lot of money. So I am planning to go here for two years than transfer.

Staff are very friendly and apporachable. Most of the professors here are very willing to help.
There are many resources here on campus. There's the libary with the friendly staff that is more than willing to help you. There's the computer lab, math lab, english lab, tutoring center, transfer center and the counseling center.

There is diversity on campus. I have met a lot of people here. And the people here are very friendly and open minded. If you need help they are more than willing to help you.

CONS:
It is a big time commuter school. People come to class and than leave.
No football.
Not a lot of campus pride. It is pratcially non existent
Everywhere I go, people are smoking.

Yes this school is defintily a commuter school. But it is an JC so what do you expect. The campus is nice for the most part. It has a lot of trees and benches. The professors are okay for the most part, and class work to me is not easy but not extremly hard for the most part. Advice: Going to a JC and do your GE classes is smart, and it saves you a lot of money than transfer to a four year college. I find the staff here on campus very friendly and helpful. And the people I meet are very willing to help you.

Word of advice though on some professors here: If you are taking an General psychology dont take Professor Hannan. You would be sorry if you take him. He is so boring. His lectures are hard to understand. Half of the class are confused. He is not organized with his lectures he jumps from place to place. His finals are 80% of the grade. And it is hard! But other than that I am enjoying my first semester here. I definitly reccomend this school before transfering to a 4 year college.

Quite Bright
CRC is a good school for a community college I had a great experience. The teachers were helpful to a fault sometimes it felt condescending but there just here to help you. The campus is diverse and you will meet a lot of different people from a host of different backgrounds. Going first to a community college saved me tons of money and it smart to go here for two years and then transfer to a CSU or UC. There is not really a social life on campus since its a commuter school and a JC but if you join a club, team or get really invovled in your classes you can meet a group of people you feel comfortable with. Students here are nice but there tends to be cliques on campus go to the cafteria and you will know what I mean. The campus is nice and quiet lots of trees and benches. The course work was very easy but CRC deals with a wide range of students from intelligent could've went to a UC but went here to dropouts from High School who are now trying to get back in school. The only negative I can say about the school is that the dropout rate amongst some students are high. In the beginning of the semester you cannot move around campus because of how crowded it is. By the end of the semester the campus is dead nearly 3/4 of some classes are empty and the parking lot is a empty. I would highly advise anybody to go CRC it was a enjoyable expeirence for me
