I have researched, visited, and auditioned for many art schools around the world and none have impressed me quite like CalArts: with it's motivated student body, exciting artistic community, exceptionally talented faculty, beautiful California campus and notorious social life (Halloween, fashion show, Arts Collective, weekly gallery openings, nightly concerts, ect). I honestly could not have imagined a better place to live, work and learn.

I love and miss this school. I am applying for grad schools and I am having a hard time because all I want to do is go back. The faculty are amazing and truly inspirational people. The staff is shockingly functional. I met the president, a strong spirited and honest man. I would recommend the film and video program to anyone. I went to this school thinking I was going to learn experimental filmmaking, what I took away from this experience was that but also a clear sense and understanding of myself.

I love CalArts. I love what I do. You have to be self-motivated to succeed here, they won't hold your hand through your schooling. If you work hard, you get a lot out of the program.
